Playing with kids is the funniest indoor activity that not only keeps us healthy but also creates a special bond between members of the family. Needless to say, such game-like activities are linked to physical health and mental health activities, which boost your children to stay energized and happy all the time! Let’s get started with some easy game-like activities you can try at least one time with your kids!
1. Balancing On One Foot
This is for kids 3 and up, and all you need is your body.
What will you do here?
• Instruct your child to look just below the level of your eye.
• Instruct him to stand on a leg and stare her eyes at this focus.
• Challenge him to see how much time she could balance on one leg.
• Suggest that he should try the other leg
Challenge him to be focused while you talk to her, ask him to sing a tune, or tell him to look the other way or close his eyes
This is an easy game that will boost your kid’s concentration, raise body awareness, and allow her to learn consciousness.
Have you ever been playing Jenga? If so, you know it can be enjoyable, but it needs focused focus and sensitivity. Use Jenga to construct your child’s consciousness when taking advantage of the fact.
Play two ways to turn the game into an exercise:
• Play the game as long as you distract your child first. Enable your mind to walk about and involve yourself in discussions or activities which remove your attention on the game.
• Next, encourage your child to develop a calm, focused mind and play again by conscious breathing.
• Involve your kid in a conversation after you play the distracted version; does he know what has induced him to lose focus? • Is his concentration overwhelmed and ruined by any feelings and emotions?
• Analyze again, after playing the cool and clear-minded version; was he easier to take care of? Has the deliberate breathing helped him concentrate better?
This game will allow your child to see the rewards of being aware and motivate him or her to strive with his or her conscience.
3. Pennies Game
For children 3 and up this game is good and can be played either separately or as a group. Anything you need to play is a penny for every player and a basket.
Here’s the game:
• Give everyone a penny, encourage them to research it for a minute with specifics in mind.
• Set in the basket all of the pennies.
• Make every player pick out their penny.
• When you pick your penny out of the basket, tell the player how they feel that’s their penny.
The penny game can also be played with other objects; the essential thing is that the children play can concentrate and pay attention to the information.
4. Balancing Relay
The game is suitable for children 5 years of age and older. You’ll recognize this match whether you’ve ever seen or been involved in an egg and spoon race.
For any team you play, you would have to have a spoon and some water or a spoon and a potato.
• Split the party into teams and give each team a full spoon of water. Two teams can fit best, but you can still make small teams. Challenge them without pouring water to bring their spoon to their next team member.
• For older ones, making it much harder to step back or backward rather than forward.
This game will inspire your children to become more aware, increase their concentration, and remain embedded in their bodies at the present moment.
5. Simon Says
This game, an older classic, can help children to see attentively, listen carefully and be more aware. It’s good for kids 4 and up and all you need is room to move around easily.
• Appoint Simon to lead the party (it might be best for an adult to play Simon first).
• Simon stands before the other players and asks them to move physically (e.g., touch your nose, balance on one foot).
• Only if Simon tells them at the beginning of the game should players do what Simon is instructed to do.
• If a player follows the instructions given by Simon which ” Simon says” does not preface, he or she will be removed from the game.
• The final standing player wins.
Once you have finished playing the game, discuss how difficult or easy it was to follow the instructions and pay attention at the beginning of the “Simon Says.” Discuss how important it is to be careful and present.
